Video Of Tom Petty’s Final Performance Proves He Went Out On Top

Tom Petty passed away at the age of 66 after suffering a massive heart attack on Monday, just a week after wrapping up his 40th anniversary tour with The Heartbreakers at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The legendary rock star performed his final show at the equally storied venue, and video of his performance shows Petty hadn’t lost a step over the course of his four decades at the helm of the band.

A fan who scored a choice seat at the concert was kind enough to film and share a fair amount of the performance for those who couldn’t be there, including a fantastic rendition of “Free Fallin'”:
