You Can Own Tony Soprano’s Boat And It’s Surprisingly Affordable

Tony Soprano's boat The Stugots

HBO

The Sopranos is widely considered one of the best television shows ever made (and the one with the most controversial ending) thanks to the unconventionally complex cast of characters at the center of the saga that revolves around the many misadventures of Tony Soprano and the affiliates who control the New Jersey mob.

Over the course of the series, showrunner David Chase did for boats what The Godfather did to oranges thanks to a number of characters who end up meeting a watery grave (or, in the case of Paulie, narrowly avoid that fate) after stepping aboard a seaworthy vessel.

Tony also spends a fair amount of time out on the open ocean in his boat “The Stugots,” which served as the location for a rendevous between him and one of his many mistresses in the first season and provided him and A.J. with some entertainment at the expense of some people in a canoe.

The Sopranos used a few different boats over the course of its run, and if you’re looking to secure a unique piece of television history, one of them can now be yours for a pretty reasonable price.

United Yacht Sales recently listed the 1999 Cape Fear 47 Sportfish that was transformed into The Stugots for $299,000 after the current owner (who rechristened it “Never Enough” after purchasing it in 2016) decided to part ways with the watercraft.

The broker notes the boat only appeared in the first season (the one Tony and A.J. used to torment those canoers was actually an Egg Harbor 43, which was replaced by the Ocean Yachts 55 that was equipped with the speakers that tortured the owners of a beach house with a Dean Martin concert), but it’s still a pretty cool relic.

Some people may balk at the idea of dropping $300K on a boat that’s close to 25 years old, but it’s actually a bit of a steal if you take a look at the prices for similarly sized vessels that saw their value skyrocket thanks to a spike in demand that can be traced back to the pandemic—especially when you consider the history surrounding it.
