Star wide receiver Tyreek Hill has declared his intention of entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the Miami Dolphins, despite only playing one season with the team.

It’s worth noting, that unlike Baseball, teams don’t actually pick a single team they’d go into the Hall Of Fame with, they recognize all the teams a player plays on.

Hill, who was drafted in the fifth round in 2016, spent the initial six years of his illustrious career in Kansas City, where he showcased his extraordinary talents as one of the league’s deep threats and punt returners.

During his tenure with the Chiefs, the 29-year old received widespread recognition, earning three 1st-team All-Pro honors, six Pro Bowl selections and was even named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.

His impressive contributions also played a crucial role in securing a Super Bowl victory for Kansas City in Super Bowl LIV.

Despite his significant achievements with the Chiefs, contract extension negotiations took an unfortunate turn in 2022, leading to Hill’s trade to the Miami Dolphins. The move proved successful for both sides, as Kansas City went on to win Super Bowl LVII, while Hill became the highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

Hill helped guide the Dolphins to the playoffs, delivering a franchise record performance with 119 receptions for 1,710 yards, setting career highs.

Tyreek Hill’s recent declaration of his preference to be enshrined as a Dolphin rather than a Chief has raised eyebrows, especially among Chiefs fans who held him in high regard during his time with the franchise.

While some speculate that his statement could be a gesture of support for the Miami faithful, it cannot be denied that Hill has not been shy about expressing his sentiments towards his former team since joining the Dolphins.

However, the star receiver has also faced controversy off the field. Recently, Tyreek Hill found himself in legal trouble after an alleged assault on Father’s Day at a Florida marina.

Accused of striking an employee during a disagreement, Hill was caught up in a legal battle. However, ESPN reported on Monday that Hill and the employee have reached a settlement in the incident. The incident took another turn on Wednesday as a video of the altercation was released, adding further scrutiny to the situation.

As Tyreek Hill continues to build his legacy on the gridiron, it remains to be seen whether his wish to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame comes to fruition.
