Expert Gives Vampire Tour. Then She Notices Something Strange About Her Customers: ‘They Were Asking Really, Really Specific Questions’

Some people think that vampires just exist on TV and in movies. However, after an expert experienced an unsettling encounter during a vampire tour, many are now convinced that they are walking among us.

According to the “HORRORble” podcast, vampire expert Spooky Gin had a strange experience with some customers.

A clip from this podcast detailing this experience has gone viral on TikTok, amassing 1.6 million views. The account (@horrorpodcastt) appears to be a fan account of the “HORRORble” podcast.

What Happened On The Vampire Tour?

In the clip, Spooky Gin explained that a couple asked to do a private vampire tour, which she agreed to. She noticed that they were asking her “very specific questions about vampires.”

“They both gave off a weird vibe. And they were asking really, really detailed questions about vampires and what I knew about Saint Germain and what my thoughts were about different people who had been accused of vampirism throughout the years,” she explained.

She added that it was “not things that normal people that are interested in vampires usually would ask.”

At the end of the tour, she walked them back toward where the tour started. They asked her to walk them to their car. Spooky Gin said she declined, saying she had another tour to get to. So, they walked to their car, got in, and sat there.

When she was done with her other tour in the evening, Spooky Gin drove back that way. The car was still sitting there. But here’s the kicker: the people weren’t there.

Even though one study suggests that vampires refuse to admit they are vampires if asked, it seems like this particular couple might not have been hiding it very well…

What Did Commenters Say?

One commenter was envious. “Ugh,” they wrote. “Why do vampires find everyone but me?”

Another quipped, “She wasn’t ready for that offer letter from Vampire U.”

While a third remarked, “Say what you want but they’re real.”

Meanwhile, a fourth joked, “They were sent to investigate her lol.”

And a fifth theorized that they were vampire hunters.

What Is The Vampire Tour?

The vampire tour mentioned in the podcast is one of the tours on offer from local business Spooky Galveston.

The business offers a mixture of historical and supernatural-themed tours based in Galveston, Texas. Some of the tours include The Original Galveston Historic Strand Walking Tour and The Women Of Galveston Tour.

There’s also the Spooky Secret Society Cemetery Tour and Galveston’s Original Ghost Tour.

In the video, it is likely that Gin is referring to the Vampire Tour listed on the website. It is described as a “chilling blend” of history, ghosts and vampires.

“Wander the Strand District Streets lined with historic buildings, and dark alleyways, while hearing chilling tales of vampire lore, restless spirits, and the colorful characters who claim to have encountered them,” the website description reads.

“This isn’t just a tour of ghost stories; it’s a mix of documented history, local folklore, and spine-tingling legends that have haunted Galveston for over a century.”

What Did Spooky Gin Say?

In an emailed conversation with BroBible, Spooky Gin said she didn’t expect the clip to go viral and was shocked when the podcast host, Askia Booker, told her about the virality.

“That said, I feel blessed that the podcast has drawn attention to my tour company and that people are interested in taking tours with me. This is my livelihood and I am truly grateful for the support and I am very happy Askia’s podcast has become successful,” she added.

She said that before the specific tour, she was thinking it was a “weird night.” The tour guide also remarked how the couple called her from a different starting location. She said she found it “really strange”—especially given that the booking link lists where tours meet.

What Was The Couple Like?

On the couple specifically, she continued, “I remember they moved unnaturally and were extremely knowledgeable when it came to vampires. Usually, people that take a vampire tour are interested on a general level. They ask questions about pop culture, like Twilight, or Dracula or stakes through the heart and crucifixes etc. Not so much about Saint Germain, Mercy Brown, the Abhartach or Peter Kürten and these people on the tour were really into it and seemed a little too educated about vampires.”

She added that the couple was “asking [her] specific and very detailed questions about vampires in ways that made [her] uncomfortable. It was definitely not my usual vampire tour that night.”

As a final note, Spooky Gin said, “I’d love for people to know that my tours are offered year-round and that vampires are always welcome so long as they behave themselves. I run a small tour company and liking, sharing, and following Spooky Galveston and me, Spooky Gin, definitely helps promote awareness about what I do and allows me the opportunity to give back to my community in impactful ways so book a tour at Spookygalveston.com”
