New ‘Venom’ Poster, Logo And Behind The Scenes Pics Will Get You Hyped For The Tom Hardy-Led Film

For some reason, I am unreasonably pumped to see Tom Hardy play Eddie Brock in his upcoming Marvel film about Venom. I don’t know if it’s because unlike pretty much every other comic book movie, this one will be featuring a character who isn’t exactly squeaky clean (Deadpool being one exception – and we know how that turned out). Or if it’s just because of Tom Hardy and a combination of him being a freaking amazing actor with the fact that he’s already done a blockbuster comic book movie when he played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.

Then again, maybe it’s just the fact that Hardy has been going hard as mothereffer in the gym in preparation for the role, just like he did when he played Bane back in 2012 (and probably damaged his body in the process).

Regardless of the reason, I’m stoked. And these new pics that reveal slivers of what’s going on behind the scenes of production on the Venom film, mixed with what appears to be a look at a potential poster and logo are doing nothing to quell my excitement.

The poster slash logo was on display down in Brazil this week for Comic Con Experience, you know the place where Deadpool was giving away free tattoos (including several to Ryan Reynolds’ mom).

Check these out…

Pretty badass, no?

Tom Hardy’s not-at-all personal Instagram account that only has access to literally everything in his life also shared some pics from the set of Hardy working on the Venom film (be sure to swipe to see them all)…

The official Venom movie Instagram has only shared these so far, but they’re still kind of interesting…

As for what we should expect to see in the film, director Ruben Fleischer had this to say to Variety earlier this year…

Fleischer says the film will deal with Venom’s origins and with the Jekyll and Hyde relationship Brock has with the alien symbiote. “They become almost a third being, which is what Venom is,” Fleischer says. “There’s a famous quote: ‘You’re Eddie Brock. I’m the symbiote. Together we are Venom.’”

Sony is also planning on making films featuring Silver Sable and Black Cat so cross your fingers that Venom goes well, comic book fans.

Venom hits theaters October 5, 2018. Can’t wait. (Can you tell?)
