Walmart Shopper Buys New Minute Maid. She Cuts It Open After Tasting Something Off—And Becomes Traumatized

If you want nostalgia in a carton, Minute Maid is your answer. Owned by Coca-Cola, the fruit juice is the perfect way to quench your thirst. However, one Walmart shopper was taken aback when she looked at what was inside her carton.

The viral video, which has been viewed 1.1 million times, was posted by user @dailyyyviewsss. In the video description, the user tags both Walmart and Minute Maid directly, saying, “OMG don’t get these nomo or from @Walmart specifically @Minute Maid yall getting sued or something!!!!!!”

In the clip, a woman shared how she was going to pour herself some Minute Maid out of a new carton. But then she noticed something odd inside her water bottle. The transparent bottle, which was full of Minute Maid, had what looked like mold floating in it.

When she cut open the carton itself, she noticed something horrifying. “Look inside of this juice,” she said. She then angled the camera so viewers could see inside the carton, with greyish-cream clumps floating on top of the juice.

She then pointed to the drink’s expiration date, which read May 26, 2026.

Accompanying the video was on-screen text that read: “MinuteMaid count yo days.”

BroBible reached out to the TikToker via TikTok direct message, Walmart via media contact form, and Coca-Cola via email.

What Did Commenters Say?

Some commenters had similar experiences.

“Omg the same thing happens to me n my mom we called the number on the back n they sent us coupons for free juices,” one wrote.

“We stopped drinking these over 10 years ago due to something similar happening!! I only drink from clear containers so I can see inside,” a second added.

Meanwhile, a third suggested it was an ongoing issue. “This been happening they not gonna fix it bc ppl gonna keep buying it just like caprisun did the clear bottom till ppl forgot it was mold found in them too,” they said.

While a fourth added, “That’s probably why I stop drinking them they started to taste really weird. Probably was drinking mold.”

Also in the video comments, @dailyyyviewsss clarified that they got the drink via the Walmart app, and that when they took a sip, something felt “off.”

This Has Happened Before

There have been multiple instances online where other customers have found mold in their Minute Maid. In a 2025 Facebook clip, a user shared a picture of mold inside a Minute Maid tumbler. They then opened the carton, where mold was growing on the side.

Similarly, in a Facebook post from April, a user shared a video of mold floating in a cup of Minute Maid. “Do not buy this juice!!” they warned. “I just poured myself a glass after watching a TikTok about this juice having mold and this came out of mine, the container doesn’t expire until may 11th.”

In fact, this issue dates back to 2013. That year, a Reddit user (via HuffPost) claimed that moldy Minute Maid made his whole family sick.

On a wider level, TikTokers have gone viral in the past after getting moldy Starbucks and noticing mold on a Texas Wingstop soda machine—but this Minute Maid example might be the worst one yet.
