After concluding its awesome second season just a few weeks ago, fans of the hit HBO series The White Lotus are already looking ahead to season three, which has already (wisely) been greenlit by the network.

Given that Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya returned for season two, many fans are expecting an already-seen character to return for season three. And according to Connie Britton, who starred in the first season as Nicole Mossbacher, she could be the one (or maybe one of many) to return for the next batch of episodes.

“[Series creator and writer Mike White] wanted me to be in the second season, and there was an idea that I loved for the character. Our intention is to do it in the third season,” Britton said in recent interview with Deadline.

“A piece of casting didn’t work in the second season and we’re hoping to that in the third season. I would love to see a spinoff on every character in that show.”

The first season of The White Lotus, which aired in the summer of 2021, was the most-awarded series at the Emmy awards that year as it took home 10 awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. In addition to Britton, season one featured Sydney Sweeney, Steve Zahn, Murray Barlett, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady, Molly Shannon, and more.

Season two of the series, which premiered back on October 30, saw Coolidge return as Tanya and starred F. Murray Abraham, Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, Michael Imperioli, Adam DiMarco, Haley Lu Richardson, Simona Tabasco, Meghann Fahy, Tom Hollander, and more. While it won’t be competing in the Emmy’s until next year, it’s safe to assume that season two will also rack up a ton of nominations.
