U.S. intelligence witnesses may testify before Congress about a bizarre 2025 UFO encounter involving a giant alleged mothership releasing swarms of mysterious orange orbs.
According to an FBI report released by the Trump administration in May, the UFO encounter occurred during a late 2025 mission and involved numerous orange orbs flying alongside a helicopter near a secret military base on the West Coast. While this was going on, the report stated that “countless” smaller objects swarmed in all directions, and one of the smaller “oval-shaped” orange, white, and yellow orbs broke in two.
The UFO witnesses could be called to testify before Congress
The New York Post now reports that Congressman Eric Burlison says these witnesses could be called to testify. According to Burlison, one of the witnesses is a career bureaucrat from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
“There’s some people that are working for the agency that having them come forward publicly may expose other things,” he said. “And so that’s a good place to explore and I’m happy to look into that to see if that’s a possibility.”
Burlison also said that some of the witnesses have had private meetings with members of Congress, but they haven’t yet provided all of the video evidence of the UFO encounter.
What was in the FBI report?
In the FBI file that was released to the public in May, a senior U.S. intelligence officer reported seeing “two large orbs flare up” next to their helicopter during a mission. The officer described the orbs as “orange with a white or yellow center, and emitted light in all directions.”
According to the report, the military used fighter jets to identify the objects but was unsuccessful. The report further states that the same orbs started “chasing” the fighters. The officer stated, “We were virtually speechless after these observations.”

Congressman Burlison has made numerous wild UFO claims
Back in April, Congressman Eric Burlison claimed to have seen classified footage of UFOs, including glowing orbs, that defy conventional explanation.
“I have seen videos of objects. I can’t tell you exactly what they are,” Burlison said on his podcast. “I say that because I’m saying I saw it, and I can’t tell what they are, and neither could the people that filmed them. It’s something that’s wild like, you know, defies logic, the way in which they operate.”
“What you’re often seeing is these glowing type orbs. They look like balls of plasma that seem to be stationary, and then sometimes they’ll just move at incredible speeds,” Burlison added. “I don’t know what that is, and I don’t think that our intelligence community knows what these things are.”
In 2025, during a Congressional hearing on UFO transparency and whistleblower protection, Burlison shared footage of an MQ-9 drone, also known as a Reaper, is tracking a orb-shaped UFO while a second MQ-9 drone launches a Hellfire missile at it. After being hit, the UFO appeared to possibly suffer some damage, but still managed to continue on in the air.
Burlison also has said that he believes the Smithsonian is hiding evidence that giant humans once roamed Earth and that there may be four different kinds of aliens.
