The Pentagon released a new batch of previously classified UFO files filled with dozens of photos, documents, and more than 40 videos, including one from the 2023 Lake Huron incident.
The files also include a firsthand witness account from a U.S. intelligence official, a CIA information report about a 1973 sighting in the Soviet Union, written statements regarding a UFO incident report by the Department of Energy, and an audio file featuring the commander and two pilots of the Apollo 12 mission. They also contain documentation from the Armed Forces Special Weapons Program (AFSWP) and the U.S. Air Force regarding a series of sightings and investigations in New Mexico between 1948 and 1950.
One notable report describes ‘two large orbs’
Another file reveals that a senior U.S. intelligence officer reported seeing “two large orbs flare up” next to their helicopter during a mission. The orbs were described by the officer as “orange with a white or yellow center, and emitted light in all directions.”

According to the report, the military used fighter jets in an attempt to identify the objects, but they were unsuccessful. The report further states that the same orbs started “chasing” the fighters. The officer stated, “We were virtually speechless after these observations.”

Also included in the declassified UFO files is a never-before-seen video of a U.S. fighter jet shooting down a UFO over Lake Huron in Michigan.
“The footage appears to depict a kinetic interaction between two distinct areas of contrast, with the initial subject of the footage fragmenting in a radial displacement pattern that suggests a high-energy event,” reads the description of the incident.
Other files declassified and made public include U.S. military infrared footage of a UAP taken off the coast of North Carolina, as well as encounters that took place in the Persian Gulf and other areas under the jurisdiction of U.S. Central Command between 2018 and 2023.
