Fans Get First-Look At Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady/Carnage In ‘Venom 2’ Set Video

Sony/Marvel

Just a day after Tom Hardy shared a behind-the-scenes first-look at Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady, video from the set of Venom 2 shows the accomplished actor in action as the deranged serial killer/alien symbiote.

Venom 2, which is currently filming in San Francisco, is set to see Harrelson join the cast as serial killer Cletus Kasady, who is best known for being the first host of the malevolent alien symbiote known as Carnage.

While Hardy’s Venom symbiote is more of an anti-hero, Carnage is an outright sadistic villain, thus leading to various iconic clashes between the two throughout the years.

Venom 2 will be the third film in Sony’s Marvel Universe, following 2018’s Venom and the Jared Leto-starring Morbius, which hits theaters this July. Additionally, Sony has reportedly scheduled another Marvel movie to be released on October 8, 2021. At this time, while that project has not been officially announced, fans are speculating that it could either be a Kraven the Hunter or Sinister Six film.

Furthermore, since Sony’s Marvel Universe was confirmed to exist inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Morbius trailer, fans are wondering if that means Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will appear in Venom 2. While it’s unlikely that the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man factors into the film’s overall plot, it’s certainly more than possible that Spidey pops up in some sort of post-credits scene.

Venom 2 hits theaters in the United States on Friday, October 2.
