I’ve always been a fan of Bam Margera. I watched Jackass, Viva La Bam and most of his other work. I always felt like the on-camera Bam was way different than the off-camera guy. Maybe a little quieter and kinder to people, especially his parents.
He’d kind-of slid of my radar in the past few years. I had no idea that his life had spiraled out of control the way it did and this clip from Family Rehab on VH1 is jaw-dropping. Bam’s drinking problem has been mentioned before but never stuff about depression and suicide.
Obviously the death of his best friend Ryan Dunn in a car crash in 2011 led to Bam’s downward spiral, all of the Jackass crew took it incredibly hard, but to see it’s all come to this is awful. I’m hoping the show helps clean Bam up or it leads to getting sober off camera.
