Beavis & Butt-head Do ‘Da Rockwilder’ By Method Man And Redman And It’s FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

Here’s a far from fartknockin’ mashup of Beavis and Butt-head rapping to one of the best hype songs of all-time, ‘Da Rockwilder’ by Method Man and Redman.

This is another gem from Mylo the Cat aka Adam Schleichkorn, who brought us Rick & Morty doing Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’ and The Muppets doing Snoop Dogg’s ‘What’s My Name?’. Adam really couldn’t have picked a better duo to match up with Meth and Red. I’m kind of shocked the two tandems never teamed up or cross paths.

Meth and Red were poised to become the next generation’s Cheech & Chong then, poof, up in smoke. After How High, I thought we’d see a Meth & Red joint every year for years to come. Nope. They were just one, big, bright supernova. Just like ‘Da Rockwilder’. That track and music video came in guns blazing, got you hot, and left you breathing heavy. Like, that’s it?

I was super psyched when Beavis and Butt-head came back with new episodes a few years back, but they were unceremoniously booted from the boob tube prematurely. That’s because MTV is a totally different beast now.

Point is, Beavis & Butt-head & Meth & Red needs to happen.

Here’s how the mashup video came to be:

“For those of you who care about how these things come about, here goes… I’ve had this song on my list for over a year, but recently, my dear friend KC told me that she and her soon-to-be husband plan on walking out to it at their wedding reception, which reminded me that I have to use it. At that point, I had no clue who the characters were going to be. I was then watching Silicon Valley a couple weeks ago, and thought, oh wow, I’ve been a fan of Mike Judge for over 20 years. I then thought, how about Beavis and Butthead? I then locked myself in my apartment for countless hours, and there you have it.”

‘Da Rockwilder’ as a wedding entrance song? That’s spectacular. Might need to crash that.
