Watch A Teenaged Spidey Battle The Vulture In First Official ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer

After some disappointing films, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is back in a brand new reboot. In “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” the infamous web-slinger is still in high school where talking to girls and homework is the least of his worries.

Tom Holland plays the young Peter Parker and trying to prove himself as a superhero. He battles a group of fake Avengers, and then encounters a real Avenger.

Peter asks Iron Man what kind of test is there to become a real Avenger, and he snarks, “Don’t do anything I would do. And definitely don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. There’s a little grey area in there, and that’s where you operate.”

Tony Stark gives the young Spider-Man some advice, “Listen, I know school sucks. I know you want to save the world. But you’re not ready yet. Forget the flying monster guy. There are people who handle this sort of thing.”

That “flying monster guy” is one of Spider-Man’s oldest nemeses, The Vulture. The villain was introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man No. 2 in 1963, but he gets a major upgrade on his outfit in the upcoming comic book movie.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is directed by Jon Watts. The film stars Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and of course Robert Downey Jr.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” soars into theaters on July 7, 2017.
