Jared Leto Gives Us A Terrifying Look Into What To Expect From His Joker Character

Jared Leto is a brave man. It takes some stones to accept the seemingly impossible challenge of reimagining a character in which Heath Ledger perfected. And Leto isn’t exactly sleeping on the job. His co-star Jai Courtney revealed that she hadn’t seen Leto out of character one time on set during the entire filming of Suicide Squad. Will Smith claims that “never actually met Jared Leto,” because his unwavering commitment to the role disallows for him to show his true self.

Says Smith:

“We worked together for six months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ’action!’ and ’cut!’” Smith explained. “We’ve never said ’hello,’ we’ve never said ’good day.’ I’ve only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker. I literally have not met him yet… Not a single word exchanged off-camera. He was all in on the Joker.” (MTV)

A bearded Leto gave us a terrifying look into what we can expect from Suicide Squad, set to be released this August.

Ledger approved.

Leto seems to be doing everything in his power to make Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson proud.
