Nelly Praises Chuck Berry But Literally Cannot Name One Song When Asked His Favorite

Johnnie B. Good. Maybelline. You Can’t Catch Me. Come on Nelly, just name one. Just say one word or even a grunt for partial credit. Now, I don’t claim to have a Chuck Berry poster hanging on my bedroom wall, but Nelly and Chuck are some of the biggest names to come out of St. Louis. Nelly’s begins by talking about him like he lost a brother, and then when pressed with a basic question, jumps into the backseat faster than a high school couple at a drive-in movie. Moral of the story: Fake it till you make it.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
