See Original Members Of Guns N’ Roses Reunite And Rock Out For The First Time In 23 Years

by 4 years ago

What most assumed was an April Fools’ Day prank, the original members of Guns N’ Roses reunited on stage for the first time in 23 years. Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan joined forces to rock the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Friday night.

GNR performed an impressive 17-song set including smash hits such as “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” and “Paradise City,” as well as covers of Wings’ “Live and Let Die,” Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” The Who’s “The Seeker.”

Axl, Slash and Duff were joined on stage by longtime keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, and new member Melissa Reese, who replaced Chris Pittman as the band’s second keyboardist.

The intimate setting made only 250 tickets available, even though hundreds of fans lined up to see the first performance by the legendary band since 1993.
