Radio DJ Accused Of Groping Taylor Swift Under Her Skirt Speaks Out, Gives His Account Of What Happened

Taylor Swift and former Denver radio DJ David Mueller are currently suing one another, with Taylor Swift alleging the DJ groped her underneath her skirt during a photo opportunity and Mueller filing a counter suit alleging false accusations. This entire ordeal has played out in both the tabloids and civil court, until now.

Two weeks ago, my colleague Matt shared the photograph that launched these lawsuits and unless I’m mistaken the photograph is very inconclusive (judge for yourself). Well, now the accused, David Mueller, has finally gone public and spoken out with his side of what allegedly took place (via PageSix):

“What I was told that night and what I was told that day were different, but what I’m hearing now is that I stuck my hand under her skirt and grabbed her bare bottom,” Mueller told 955 Detroit’s “Mojo in the Morning” on Tuesday.
“My right hand — I’m looking at the photographer and I’m trying to get my right hand, you know, behind Taylor, because [another DJ] was on the other side of Taylor,” he continued. “My other hand I think was just on my belt or on my pocket, my left hand. So my right hand, I’ve got my hand closed and my palm down, and I reach behind, toward Taylor. Our hands touched and our arms crossed. That’s all I remember.”
He added, “My hand was not touching her body … My hand was never under her skirt. I never grabbed her. My hand was not open.”

Now, Taylor’s account of what took place is markedly different from what the former Denver radio DJ claims took place. And this comes as no surprise given that the two are currently suing each other. Here’s what Taylor alleges happened:

“Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek, and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there,” Swift recalled in a July deposition. “It was completely intentional, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.”

In a sworn deposition back in July, Taylor Swift’s bodyguard corroborated her account of what transpired, claiming he saw the DJ lift up Taylor’s skirt and she tried to scoot away from him.

David Mueller was never charged as a criminal, this entire case has played out in civil court, and thus he has never been able to give his account of what he claims happened until now. For more on this story you can head on over to PageSix.
