The official Game of Thrones video game trailer is here, and I don’t care if you hate the A Song of Ice and Fire series or if the sight of Game of Thrones on television makes you vomit uncontrollably, you will play this game. That wasn’t a prediction, it was a command. You. Will fucking play this game. You know why? Because it looks like this:

And the trailer just sent shivers down your spine. Don’t lie to me boy, I know it did.

Now if you were paying attention you noticed that the narrator (who sounds a lot like Cersei) was talking to a “House Forrester,” which is a house mentioned in the books but not the television show. According to Wired,

Built over fifteen hundred years [Ironrath] ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of Ironwood. The Forrester house words are ‘Iron from Ice’, which echoes their belief that – like the ironwood itself – the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger…

Ironrath is located in the Wolfswood, a massive forest that sprawls across the northwest of the North. It’s also conveniently located on the edge of the largest ironwood forest in Westeros, giving the Forresters control of a valuable resource often used build weapons and ships. (Fun fact: When Ned Stark beheaded that guy in the beginning of Game of Thrones, it was on an ironwood stump!) We’re told that their good fortune has attracted the particular jealousy of their sure-to-be-evil rivals known as House Whitehill.

The game has you playing as five different members of House Forrester and will bring you to recognizable places such as King’s Landing, the Wall and throughout the North in general. From the trailer we also see that many recognizable characters will be making an appearance, including Tyrion, Cersei and Margaery Tyrell…but only time will tell if Hodor will show up.
