Circle October 17th on your calendars. That’s the night Tracy Morgan’s will triumphantly return to Saturday Night Live, and — to quote the man himself — “somebody’s gonna get pregnant.”
This will mark the comedian’s first return to the stage since the deadly New Jersey Turnpike accident last year that left him in critical condition. For Morgan’s millions of comedy fans, it’s been an emotional year since the accident: There were vague reports about the severity of the comedian’s injuries, then there was a brutal report that Morgan may never be able to perform again. Then earlier this summer he made an emotional television appearance with Matt Lauer on The Today Show. More recently, he’s been spotted at Yankees games enjoying himself with his family.
The news that Morgan will be hosting SNL — where he was a cast member for eight years — is certainly uplifting. Let’s he gets everyone pregnant from the laughs, just like he was put on the planet to do.
