Tupac And Biggie Are ALIVE! Meet The Doppelganger Actors Who Will Play Legendary Rappers In ‘All Eyez On Me’ Biopic

TUPAC IS ALIVE! And so is Biggie Smalls! At least on the movie screen that is. Demetrius Shipp Jr. will play Tupac, and actor Jamal Woolard will play rapper Biggie Smalls in the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me.

Maybe people kept seeing Demetrius, who is a spitting image of Tupac, and that’s why there have been all these conspiracy theories that Tupac is still alive after all these years. Being a doppelganger to one of the greatest rappers of all-time is exactly how Shipp got the coveted role. Apparently, producer L.T. Hutton approached Demetrius to star as the rapper not because of his acting chops (This is Shipp’s first big acting gig), but for how closely he resembled Tupac. Next thing Shipp is taking crash acting classes four times a week.

Another unusual coincidence is that production sources told TMZ that “Demetrius’ father worked in the music biz, and crossed paths with Tupac when Demetrius was a kid, and he’s been a huge fan ever since.”

You may remember Woolard first portrayed Biggie in the 2009 biopic Notorious. Hill Harper has also joined the cast and has been sharing pictures of his character on his Instagram page.

The biopic is said to cover the legendary rapper’s entire life, from his rise to stardom, his time at Death Row Records and his 1996 murder in Las Vegas.

The Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham reportedly will play Jada Pinkett Smith.

After facing a few setbacks, All Eyez on Me began production in Atlanta this week. There’s no release date just yet on the Benny Boom-directed reel.
