This weekly gear guide consists of Gear I desperately want in my life to things I’ll never be able to afford, I try and include a cross-section of everything here in the ‘Things We Want‘ roundup. I try to include all of the coolest and hottest gear of 2018 but sometimes things slip through the cracks.

1963 Modena Spyder California — Ferrari Used In ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’
The Ferrari used in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is on the auction block and you can own this piece of cinematic history. It’s a 1963 Modena Spyder California being auctioned off by Mecum (link below) and it’s estimated to fetch somewhere between $250,000-$300,000 at auction.
Features include:
— Actual car used for the filming of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
— Owned for over 25 years by Modena Spyder California co-designer and president of Modena Design
— Modena built three cars for the John Hughes production
— Two cars were used interchangeably as Hero and Stunt car
— A rolling chassis was used for the destruction scene
— Current owner had a chance to acquire one of the movie cars in 1988
— 10 year restoration completed in 2010 by the owner
— Hand-built 2,650 lbs sports car with tubular frame
— Fiberglass body riding on Borrani wire wheels
— 427/500 HP small block 351 stroker balanced and blueprinted
— Trick Flow twisted wedge aluminum heads and roller rockers
