Maybe it’s just the recent release of Jackass: Best and Last, but I’ve been on a serious nostalgia kick of similar late 90s/early 00s content. I’ve recently rewatched the first four Jackass movies to prepare for the final film, as well as watching the Tony Hawk and Big Brother magazine documentaries for the first time (highly recommend both). Made me realize how much of an impact skateboarding had on my generation, and I still lack the coordination to even stand on a skateboard. Doesn’t make me want Nike’s new SB Code 58 Skate Shoes any less.

These are the kind of shoes that make me want to fire up a PlayStation and play one of the old Pro Skater games. When I was over at my buddy’s house recently, and he told me he had the original games remastered on the Nintendo Switch, I sat there in silence for at least 30 minutes playing while both of our wives stared at us. That’s how these new Nike skate shoes make me feel.
And for only $90? Come on. I can hear Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger playing in my head at the thought of lacing up these bad boys.
