Is CBD The Hot, New Gift For Mother’s Day And Father’s Day This Year?

There’s a great paradigm shift in how we, as a culture, think about holidays honoring parents.  There’s a certain thoughtfulness in the kitschy and the cliché, say, flowers for Mom or a new grilling gadget for Dad. But there’s also something special about something pragmatic and useful – products that enhance and make everyday life better as a simple reminder to our parents that they’re always going to be the most important people in our lives.

“Wellness” is a hot word thrown around about legal cannabis products, especially when it comes to CBD products, the so-called “non-psychotropic cousin” THC. A derivative of the hemp plant, CBD has a lot of appeal in the medical and wellness community, notably for relieving pain and inflammation, reducing anxiety, and behaves as a non-toxic compound without the intoxicating effects of THC.

In other words, it doesn’t get you high. It just makes you feel pretty dang good, curing what ails you. For the unfamiliar, via Forbes

Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive cannabis compound that doesn’t give users the feeling that they are high or stoned. Instead, it is known to have medicinal qualities. Contrary to the image of men being the predominant consumers of cannabis, this survey found that 55% of the CBD users were women, while men preferred the THC-dominant products. Brightfield Group, which helped conduct the survey, studies consumption patterns and demand trends and is committed to providing accurate data in the cannabis industry which seems to be rife with unsupported claims.

Most importantly in all of this: IT’S ALL NATURAL. It’s been shown to help fight cancer cells and works as an incredible sleep aid, in addition to helping arthritis and anxiety. In an world of overprescribed painkillers, it’s a nature’s way of putting us back together again.

CBD consumers, largely, rave about how it’s made their lives better. It makes for a new avenue of gift-giving for Mom and Dad. It’s a compound that helps with symptoms related to aging, from back aches to arthritis. You’re not getting them high, you’re saying “hey, try this all-natural oil or balm that will ease muscle pain and relax you to the max.”
