The New 789 HP McLaren Senna Is So Badass They Sold All 500 That Were Made For $1 Million Each

We have shared a lot of very cool cars and trucks with our readers over the years. The 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor, the 750HP SCG003S Hypercar, the V8 Twin Turbo Hennessey Venom F5 and the insane 1,800 HP Corbellati Missile, to just name a few.

They are all ridiculously fun-looking vehicles. And here’s another one. The brand new 789 HP McLaren Senna. Only 500 of these cars were made by McLaren, but that didn’t stop them all for being sold… with a price tag of around a million dollars each ($958,966, according to AutoBlog).

Why were so many of these car snapped up, many sight unseen? Well, here’s how McLaren describes it

800PS. 800kg of downforce. A dry weight of under 1200kg. The fastest lap times of any road-legal McLaren to date.

The level of performance on offer from the McLaren Senna is self-evident from the numbers. The figures only tell part of the story because, from the genesis of the McLaren Senna’s development, there has been an overwhelming drive to reflect the innate feel that Ayrton Senna experienced with his race cars. Without this, the blistering performance cannot be exploited.

The McLaren Senna is the fastest McLaren road car ever around a racetrack, but these abilities go hand-in-hand with an intensely involving and immersive experience that puts the driver utterly in control.

Starting to understand?

Here is some more mind-boggling data…

— 789 horsepower
— 590 pound-feet of torque
— 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine
— 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox
— 2,641-pound curb weight
— 0 to 60 mph coming up in just 2.7 seconds
— 0 to 124 mph in 6.8 seconds

Ridiculous, no?

Yes, those are windows in the sides of the doors.

No wonder so many guys would rather spend time with their cars than their significant others, huh?

Here it is in red, if you’re more into that sort of thing.

Awesome.
