The Barrier Shell is Relwen’s solution to creating a durable lightweight rain jacket. Oftentimes lightweight rain jackets can become too flimsy and susceptible to tearing—especially when brushing up against tree branches while on a hike.
Relwen’s rain jacket is made of powerful 100% nylon with a water-resistant polyurethane coating.
The jacket bats down water like a boss. What’s great about the design of the rain jacket is it’s made for layering. The jacket will go over thicker garments like fleece knits and pullovers with ease.

Our favorite design notes include a double-layered hood to keep your head extra-protected from the elements, and a long darted drop tail to shield your seat from getting wet when sitting down for a quick breather.
And as far as other features, the Barrier Shell is equipped with underarm mesh to keep you cool and breathable, a two-way molded front zipper to seal off any moisture, and three concealed zipper cargo pockets for the perfect amount of storage space.
