Before I linked up with BroBible, I spent 2009 living in a Colorado ski town, where a Fat Tire after a powder day felt like an unwritten state law. Back then, New Belgium was the beloved Fort Collins brewery with the bicycle on the label. It’s been wild to watch what’s happened since.
New Belgium was founded in 1991 in Fort Collins and has grown into one of America’s largest craft breweries, with an additional facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
Then the brewery exploded with Voodoo Ranger, the skeleton-faced IPA line that took over every gas station cooler in America. New Belgium didn’t launch Voodoo Ranger until 2017, and it’s now the most prolific brand under the company’s umbrella. Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA has been the best-selling IPA in the country in recent years, and in 2023 the brand held the top two spots. Hey, not bad for a brewery that started with a homebrew kit and a bike ride through Belgium.
To celebrate 35 years, New Belgium teamed up with Denver’s own Topo Designs on a limited-edition capsule that looks like it was designed on a chairlift. It’s so perfectly Colorado: bikes, hops, mountains, and plaid you can rock to The Ditch on 40 in Winter Park after a day on the slopes.
Here’s what’s in the drop.
Mountain Shirt Jacket ($165)

A heavyweight blue and red plaid shirt jacket with Western-style yoke details and twin flap chest pockets. This is the item in the collab I want most. I think it’s the colors? Definitely the colors. They POP. It looks unbelievably warm, and I think it’s going to be a mountain town staple this winter, equally at home on the slopes or posted up at après with a pint of New Belgium Fat Tire, naturally.
