When it comes to the classic slashers, there’s Freddy, there’s Jason, there’s Leatherface, but none of them hold a candle to Michael Myers during the Halloween season. Nothing brings on the chills quite like hearing that iconic piano medley. Makes you want to run and hide just in case Michael Myers comes looking for you. That is, unless you’re Voodoo Ranger. In which case, you actually can’t wait to find him and pour him a beer.

This Halloween, Voodoo Ranger is on a nationwide “Slasher Manhunt” for anyone 21 and older in the US who can legally prove their name is Michael Myers. Eligible participants can enter for the chance to receive cash for a year’s supply of Voodoo Ranger beer along with a copy of the new Halloween: The Game. Voodoo Ranger will reveal select winners and share their stories on October 19, Michael Myers’ birthday.

If you were around New York this week, you probably saw “WANTED: MICHAEL MYERS” posters plastered around the city, as well as the killer himself frozen in a block of ice at the Timeout Market in Brooklyn.

Passersby had the opportunity to chip away at ice blocks that contained coins to redeem for prizes, including copies of Halloween: The Game, as well as select coins that could be redeemed for a PS5!

Voodoo Ranger continues the search tonight (October 7) at Ray’s on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with a Party Without Fear, a Halloween activation created in partnership with Halloween: The Game. Real Michael Myers will receive a special reward for proving their identities, while the remaining guests will enjoy Slasher IPAs, game demos, and exclusive giveaways.

Of course, you can’t have a special Voodoo Ranger event without a special beer release. In honor of the release of the new video game, the brewery is releasing the limited-edition Slasher IPA, which will be available exclusively in their Halloween Hoppy Pack.
