NBA Writer Pissed The NBA Draft Lottery Didn’t Include More Hot Women

Last year Mallory Edens was the talk of the web after she represented the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Draft Lottery. After all, it was hard for some blogs (ahem) to not notice and comment on her great looks.

Last night she was absent thanks to a new NBA rule forbidding family members from representing teams as the ping pong balls bounced.

The lack of comely females irritated NBA writer Chris Sheridan, who doesn’t just tune into this type of event to see who picks where in the draft, dammit!

Yes, this is a shame. But the lottery is not about trophy wives or trophy daughters or even trophies — at least in the short term. It is about hope for the future, and the T-Wolves have a little more of that now with a young core that includes Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins, 2013 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett (if he does not turn into LaRue Martin 2.0) and the Spaniard who is the Mallory Edens of young men, Ricky Rubio.

Hey now. That’s great copy.

Unless you’re Edens.

Sheridan issued an apology earlier today.

You have to hand it to Sheridan, however, for actually making this made-for-television event exciting — even if it was for the wrong reasons. “”
