Forget beer, Bud Light is all about music now. They’ve introduced a new program, dubbed “Bud Light Music First,” that will bring people more of the music they love all summer long. Oh, and they’re giving away a ton of stuff.
“Music is such a unique platform because it brings people together, yet everyone interacts with it on a personal level,” said Rob McCarthy, vice president, Bud Light. “With Bud Light Music First, we have an amazing collection of artists and partners that will make sure every adult fan can experience music in a fun, interesting way this summer.”
They’ve partnered with My____ to create a hub for all of their music first content. It offers playlists, photos, info, and a little bit more. I haven’t used MySpace since back in the day, but the new layout definitely looks nice. Justin Timberlake certainly seems to like it. They’ve also created an app, because you’ve gotta have an app.
Fans can become part of the Music First experience by downloading the Bud Light Music First app, which is now available through the Apple and Android app stores. The app will be music fans’ primary destination to score Bud Light Music First prizes, including Monster DNA Headphones, Live Nation® Concert Cash®, Universal Music Group (UMG) music downloads and 50/50/1 concert tickets throughout the summer. Adults can enter codes found in specially-marked packages of Bud Light, Bud Light Lime or Bud Light Platinum into the app for a chance to instantly win a Music First prize. In total, Bud Light will give away more than 500,000 music-centric prizes this summer.
The culmination of the summer extravaganza is an event called 50/50/1. Bud Light will put on a never-before-seen live music event featuring 50 concerts in 50 states in 1 day, which happens to be August 1st. Clever name, right? I’d love to see them stream the 49 other feeds on a jumbotron at each event. Now that would be amazing.
The list of artists reads like the lower 2/3 of a Lollapalooza lineup.
