Guinness gets in Halloween spirit with Red Harvest

Guinness wants in on the seasonal beer game, but they aren’t going to pretend to be German or throw pumpkin into their beer. Instead they are celebrating the Gaelic festival, Samhain, with Guinness Red Harvest Stout.

Most people forget that Guinness is more than a single-offering brand, but this is their first foray into the seasonal world. At least to my knowledge. I haven’t tried Guinness Red Harvest Stout, but word on the street is that it smells like caramel and toffee and has more malt but less roasted flavor. It sounds like it’s a good option for anyone who likes Guinness and worth trying for anyone who thinks Guinness is too dark for them (racist).
