Redhook’s ‘Joint Effort’ tap handle is a bong

Marijuana is going mainstream, and breweries want in on the action. Redhook and Hilliard’s Beer teamed up to make Joint Effort, a beer brewed with hemp seeds, to celebrate the legalization of weed in Washington

Redhook

Joint Effort is a session ale brewed with hemp seeds. Dry-hopped with Zeus, Cascade, Summit hops, Joint Effort has a dank, resinous hop aroma balanced by nutty, earthiness from hemp seeds. It’s the perfect brew for hanging with your buds, grabbing some munchies and enjoying a beer. ABV 5.6%, IBU 25.

See what they did there?

Unfortunately for those of you not in the Pacific Northwest, which is all of you, Joint Effort is only available on draught and in Seattle. To make it interesting for those who can’t drink it though, Redhook made an awesome tap handle that we can ogle. It’s a giant yellow bong. No word on if it can be taken off the bar and used after closing time.

UPDATE: The tap handle doesn’t just look like a bong. It is a bong! I appreciate dedication to authenticity.
