Getting old and looking like shit is just a sad fact of life. You can fight it all you’d like, it’s going to catch up to you eventually.
It’s always depressing to see a beloved pop culture figure from childhood get old. Think about the internet freak out about Haley Joel Osment. It seems like just yesterday he was a little kid who could see the dead. Now he looks like an old man just days away from being dead.
At least, our favorite cartoon characters don’t get old. They don’t get fat. They suffer a mid-life crisis. They never change. Or do they?
