After the Pulse shooting in Orlando, the worst mass shooting by a lone gunman in American history, Democrats in Congress actually did something.
The party that’s supposedly for sensible gun control reforms actually took a stance and said, “we want sensible gun control reforms.”
Pretty fucking astounding that it took like only 4,500 mass shootings to spur them into publicly acting upon their party platform.
The efforts failed in the Republican-controlled Senate, but the House will vote on reform next week.
Will the efforts work? Did they raise the level of discourse with their actions?
