Donald Trump Just Got A Big Endorsement From A Former Opponent

The Donald Trump American-made steamroller continues to churn forward, flattening political opponents and campaign paradigms with tremendous force and aplomb (or whatever the opposite of aplomb is).

Such is his might, so thorough is his destruction of his opponents, so now seemingly inevitable his victory in the Republican primary, those defeated see no choice but to latch on to a person they once claimed to revile. Because if you can’t beat ’em…

Today’s unlikely endorsement comes in the form of Chris Christie. At an event in Fort Worth, TX, Trump brought the New Jersey governor on stage, who only recently dropped out of the race.

From Politico:

The New Jersey governor said he met with Trump on Thursday morning. “Yesterday morning I met with Donald, we sat and talked, and he said, ‘How about coming out on the road to Texas with me?’, and I said, ‘Happy to do it, whenever you’re ready, sir.’ So we did it, and that’s how the process went,” he explained.

Christie said he could “guarantee you that the one person that Hillary and Bill Clinton do not want to see on that stage is Donald Trump,” remarking that the Clintons “do not know the playbook of Donald Trump because he is rewriting the playbook.”

“I’m happy to be on the Trump team and I look forward to working with him,” said Christie, who dropped his own presidential bid on Feb. 10.

In many, many, many debates, Chris Christie stated he was the only person capable of defeating Hillary Clinton in a general election. Whether his calculus has now changed in the face of Trump’s tremendous surge, or he’s simply seeking a cabinet-level position in a Trump White House is yet to be–

Lol yea, we know which it is.
