This Bro Did A Maternity Shoot For His Dog And It Deserves A Goddamn Award

For those of you bros still in college, in about three years, your Facebook timeline will take on a whole new look. Instead of photos of your friends shotgunning beers or with penises Sharpied on their foreheads, you’ll be barraged with a plethora of “I said yes!” engagement photos and maternity pics. Grown up shit intended to remind you just how irresponsible and immature you are. Puke.

It may sound like I’m bitter about the life achievements of my friends, but the only gripe I have is the uniformity of all the photos. It’s all the same. An engaged couple wearing their best outfits gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes while they sit on rustic train tracks peppered in heroin needles. Countless ultrasound photos in the early stages of pregnancy that make it impossible to determine if that’s a baby in there or a Chipotle burrito. Again, not bitter.

In any event, a 20-year-old from Florida named Daquan Collins has offered a different, more humorous spin on those maternity photos that saturate our feeds, featuring his pregnant pooch, Heidi. Heidi’s maternity photos have gone super viral, amassing over 100,000 likes and 50,000 retweets. And for good reason…

Naturally, Twitter enjoyed them.

I need to see this tiny wiener when it’s  born. A living pig in a blanket. Cute AF.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
