This is 24-year-old Lazaro Hernandez and he’s trying everything to get out of a DUI arrest.
According to the police report, Hernandez was pulled over around 2:40 a.m. on June 3 after allegedly passing an officer who was directing traffic following an accident. When asked why he drove through the traffic point, Hernandez said “he thought the officer was waving him through.”
The cop smelled booze on Hernandez and asked if he’d been drinking. Hernandez admitted to a cocktail 13 hours prior.
Here’s where things start going wrong for the young fella…
Hernandez refused to take the walking part of the field sobriety test and grew argumentative when the officer began to arrest him.
“I’m not driving under the influence of alcohol, you need to finish your [expletive] test,” Hernandez said.
Hernandez never finished the test and refused to take a breathalyzer.
Cops noticed an open bottle of Corona in Hernandez’s car so they cuffed him and put him in a patrol car. Hernandez started to negotiate with officers and allegedly offered $400 in total. When that didn’t work, he said he’d throw in some beer. Still no deal, so Hernandez tried to get the cops to reduce the offense to “super speeding.”
Did you say stupid speeding? You’re getting closer.
