But there is one down side… you can be kidnapped by a rival gang. That is what happened to Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar, the son of infamous drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

On Monday, the son of the gang leader was dining at an upscale restaurant in the resort town of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with nine women and six men. All of the sudden, seven men armed with “long guns” violently kidnapped the six men, including Salazar.

At a news conference, Jalisco state Attorney General Eduardo Almaguer confirmed that El Chapo’s son was abducted, “The person by the name of Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar, age 29, is the son of Joaquin Guzman Loera.”

There is a chance that one of Guzman’s other sons, Ivan Archivaldo Guzman, may have been one of the men abducted. Mexican authorities have identified four of the six men who were captured, but have not said if Ivan (Who has the super luxurious lifestyle seen in the Twitter pics above) was seized. Authorities have not located any of the women who were dining with the kidnapped men.

The abductors have been identified as members of the Jalisco New Generation cartel, the most dominant criminal group in the area. All of the individuals who were taken are believed to be rolling with the rival Sinaloa cartel, which of course is El Chapo’s organization.

There have not been any demands of ransom for the missing men.

“It is important to note that at this moment, we have not received any complaints or calls from any part of the missing and at the same time, we have also not received any calls from anyone that indicates that there is anyone asking the organization regarding anyone,” Almaguer said.

This is not the fist time that one of Guzman’s sons has been targeted. A rival cartel shot and killed one of El Chapo’s oldest sons, Edgar Beltran, in a shopping mall parking lot in 2008.

Many believe that since Ivan took over his dad’s empire, the Jalisco cartel has quickly grown to rival Sinaloa in power.

Tough titties for the drug lord. First, he gets breaks out of prison only to be caught again and sent back to prison. Then he faces extradition to the United States. All of this happens while his son lets the Sinaloa cartel go down the shitter. Now one, maybe two of his sons are kidnapped. Mammas don’t let your sons grow up to be drug lords.
