Need to find WiFi? Whether you are in need of WiFi because your phone signal is weak or you are conserving that precious data, Facebook can help you locate some free WiFi. Facebook officially rolled out their “Find WiFi” feature this week, it was originally launched in 2016, but only in a few countries, but it has now been launched globally. The feature will allow Facebook users to locate businesses nearby that offer free, public WiFi. It also provides you with the business hours of the locations so you don’t walk all the way there for nothing. However, businesses have to opt into offering this information on their Facebook page, so not every hotspot is going to be shown on the map.

To get all that free WiFi goodness you need to click the “More” tab in the Facebook app and then hit the “Find WiFi” in the “Explore” section. Results are offered on a list, but you can also see the locations on a map.

However, there is a catch, as there always is. The feature is only usable if you share your location with the Facebook app all of the time. Also, you’ll need some internet connection to access the hotspot map. Happy hunting for WiFi.
