This Guy Has Been Arrested 492 Times And That’s Got To Be Some Kind Of Record, Right?

Meet Robert Brown, a man who has been arrested a mind-blowing 492 times, most of them for public intoxication. That’s a lot of mugshots. Lindsay Lohan’s got her work cut out for her now if she wants to catch up with this guy.

Brown’s latest arrest happened on Tuesday when police found him on the side of an entrance ramp drinking a 40-ounce.

According to WKRN

Brown was reportedly taken into custody Tuesday because he was too intoxicated to care for his own wellbeing.

He was charged with public intoxication but according to Metro jail officials, Brown is supposed to be released from jail late Wednesday. The charge was dismissed.

Each time Brown is arrested, he spends a night or two behind bars and is released again.

He’s like the real-life Otis from The Andy Griffith Show (that was a show that aired back in … never mind).

So why does Brown keep spending time in jail over and over and over again?

“You can’t lock a person up for public intoxication for five years. The law won’t allow you to do that,” says Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall. “Yes, they come to jail tonight, go to court tomorrow, serve their time and are probably released in 24 to 48 hours. There’s not a whole lot anyone can do during that time. They’re off the streets, but quite frankly, as far as arresting the problem, we don’t even have all the paperwork done by the time they get out sometimes.”
