Jerry Springer May Run For Governor Of Ohio, Yes, THAT Jerry Springer

Many are calling for Jerry Springer to run for Governor of Ohio, yes, THE Jerry Springer of popular daytime talk show that bears his name. Business Insider is reporting that over a half a dozen “influential Ohio Democrats are pushing former Cincinnati mayor and daytime-TV host Jerry Springer to run for Ohio governor in 2018.”

Springer’s supporters believe that in this current climate of politics, the talk show host would be able to garner his own funding and could connect with working-class voters thanks to his massive popularity from “The Jerry Springer Show.”

JERRY!!! JERRY!!! JERRY!!!

In April, Springer did retweet this article that said: “ICYMI: Could @jerryspringer be the next governor of #Ohio? Some state democrats think he’d be a great candidate.”

Steve Wilkos could be Jerry’s lieutenant governor.

Springer does have plenty of political experience from before his talk show days. He was elected to the Cincinnati city council in 1971 but resigned in 1974 after admitting to hiring a prostitute. Springer was caught when there was a raid on a brothel in Kentucky and authorities found a check that Springer had written to a prostitute “for services rendered.” Springer was reelected to the seat in 1975 and elected as the mayor of Cincinnati in 1979.

Springer’s TV show has had such bizarre guests, all-out brawls, and memorable episodes such as “My Stripper Sister Strikes Again,” “Fresh Meat at the Strip Club,” “Battle Royale with Cheese,” “Threesomes and Throwdowns,” and “Cousin, Will You Be My Girlfriend?”

Just think, he could end every debate and press conference with, “Until next time, take care of yourself and each other.”
