Ken Bone Almost Didn’t Wear That Red Sweater To The Debate And The Reason That He Wore It Is Classic Ken

There’s no bigger star in America right now than Ken Bone. He stole the entire debate last night and in under 24 hours he’s been mentioned more on social media than the actual candidates. The tweets last night about Ken Bone were the stuff of Internet legend, and we’ve compiled the best of them HERE, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about now.

Ken Bone appeared on last night’s Town Hall Debate at Wash U. as one of the undecided voters, and he was wearing a very bright red sweater that has had everyone talking. Ken Bone’s been giving interviews all day and he’s still wearing that red sweater, which leads us to this story of how he came to wear that particular top on TV, via Jezebel.com, and it’s CLASSIC KEN:

“I had a really nice olive suit, and my mother would have been very proud to see me wearing on television, but apparently I have gained about 30 pounds,” Bone told Carol Costello Monday morning. “And when I went to get in my car the morning of the debate I split the seat of my pants all the way open. So the red sweater is plan B. I’m glad it worked out.”

If that isn’t the most stereotypical Ken Bone story I’ve ever heard in my life then I don’t know what is. That just about sums up everything I’ve ever known about Ken Bone in one fell swoop, and I love it….Well, it’s either that story above or this one about Ken picking up a whopping TWO Twitter followers last night but it actually being his grandma twice:

Classic Ken, classic.
