Matthew McConaughey Tells The Story Of How His Dad Won A Motorbike From A Literal Pissing Contest

The definition of “Pissing Contest” from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary: a competition between rivals to determine superiority, predominance, or leadership. That is the figurative meaning of pissing contest, but there is also the literal meaning of pissing contest which is a competition of urination skills. Matthew McConaughey’s family was able to combine both the figurative and literal meaning of pissing contest all in one superb story. On Friday night, McConaughey stopped by The Graham Norton Show to tell the story of how his brother won a motorbike thanks to his awe-inspiring pissing prowess.

He said that his father was at a bar one night after a hunting trip when the subject of urination was broached, because how could it not? McConaughey’s pop, James, knew his son had a special talent unlike any other – he could whiz like the dickens. James bet his drinking buddy that his son could tinkle over his head and if he did piss over his head the boy would win the man’s motorbike. The gentlemen agreed and James drove an hour and a half home to get his boy in the middle of the night. He woke up his son and drove him back another hour and a half to the man’s home. He may have even supplied ammo to his 12-year-old son in the form of beer.

The man stood at 6’2″ and they marked his height on the wall of a barn (I’m impressed with the ingenuity and not drunkenly attempting to just piss over his head). The boy peed a glorious golden stream that easily soared over the target. What a bladder on that kid!

The brother won the actual pissing contest and got his first motorbike.

The story doesn’t tell which McConaughey brother has the supernatural pissing gifts, but if I was to bet, I’d put my money on Micahel “Rooster” McConaughey, Matthew’s older brother. Let’s remember that Rooster named his son Miller Lyte McConaughey, after his favorite beer, Miller Lite. SABMiller did the right thing and gave Rooster a year supply of Miller Lite, which is 24 cases.
