Miss Puerto Rico Suspended From Miss America Pageants After Babbling Anti-Muslim Twitter Rant

What if I told you it was possible to make a bigger fuck up at Miss Universe than Steve Harvey’s announcement of the wrong pageant winner? I mean it’s tough to top giving someone the best moment of their entire lives and then turning around and ripping it out of her cold, lifeless fingers.

But you obviously haven’t been introduced to Miss Puerto Rico Destiny Velez–who has been suspended indefinitely from Miss America competition after she fired off a series of incompetent anti-Muslim tweets in response to the “We Are All Muslim” protests led by director Michael Moore.

The 20-year-old Velez since deleted her mindless comments, but not before screen grabs were obtained.

According to the NY Daily News, the remarks caused the Miss Puerto Rico Organization to issue a statement claiming her comments were a poor representation of “the integrity and esteem of our program.”

Velez since apologized for her comments with some more tomfoolery.

“I stand up against bullying. The last thing I wanted to do was to bully anyone.”

I apologize to anyone who felt offended with my words.”

Adds a little perspective on Steve Harvey’s gaffe.
