Pictures Of Oscar Pistorius’ Prison Cell Have Been Released And It’s Nicer Than My NYC Apartment

Oscar Pistorius killed his model girlfriend after an argument on Valentine’s Day of 2013. His defense was pretty laughable–claiming that he killed Reeva Steenkamp by accident, thinking she was an intruder who was sitting on his toilet.

Nonetheless, a South African court hit the 29-year-old with a light manslaughter charge and he was released from prison after serving just a year in prison. The light ruling was decided after the state failed to prove the Pistorius has shown ‘intent,’ a legal concept dictating whether or not the perpetrator can be held responsible for the foreseeable consequences of his actions.

Pictures of the former Olympians jail cell have recently been released as a top South African appeals court is finalizing a decision on whether to send him back to prison by overturning a lower court’s manslaughter conviction to convict him of murder, according to the Metro.

And while I’m not saying it’s the Taj Mahal, I’m also not saying it’s not more plush than my shitty NYC apartment. You be the judge.

Pistorius’ Cell:

Aaaaand My Cell:

Pretty much a toss up. The only difference is, Pistorius was living rent free and I had to sell a kidney to pay November rent.

And oh ya, I haven’t killed anyone. Trivial details.
