Rita Ora Has Finally Come Forward To Address The Rumors That She’s ‘Becky With The Good Hair,’ And She’s NOT Happy

Back in August the world finally found out who “Becky with the good hair” was, and that person was…nobody. According to the songwriter behind the lyric, it was written without anyone in particular in mind and just happened to fit the music well. Real bummer of a truth there, but that hasn’t stopped people from still assuming it’s Rita Ora:

Finally tired of people throwing accusations her way, Ora has come forward to set the record straight once and for all; in an interview with Vanity Fair, she states that she is NOT Becky with the good hair, and it’s insulting that people keep assuming so:

First and foremost, Jay Z is my inspiration and one of my idols—lyrically, musically, business-wise. I still look up to him and his wife every day. Beyoncé was one of my biggest idols growing up.

…As for the rest of it, I’m oblivious, I’m just not the gossip queen. I find it incredibly rude and disrespectful to women in general [when] we get accused of something that’s basically against the important part—the music.

So there you have it: Rita Ora isn’t Becky with the good hair, and she resents the fact that people keep insisting she is. Never mind all the press and attention it brought her – NOPE! Super offensive and rude, just like all the people who keep insisting that she is:
