Rolls Royce is an ultra-luxury automobile who has one of the most iconic hood ornaments in the world, a hood ornament that adorns vehicles retailing for hundreds of thousands of dollars. In fact, they’re one of the few automobiles that still puts hood ornaments on their cars and they probably do this because the Rolls -oyce ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ hood ornament is the most iconic thing about their vehicles.
Also, until my buddy sent me this video a little bit ago I had no idea that the Rolls-Royce hood ornament had its own name, the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’, and I’m now convinced that this is the most pretentious name for any luxurious item in the history of mankind. That said, I’d still sell a kidney to own a Rolls-Royce because it’s the apex of luxury. And now that I’ve seen their badass anti-theft mechanism I just want to go to the nearest luxury mall and look for a Rolls-Royce so I can try this out on my own…Though I guess I could just roll to the dealership down the street instead of putting my hands all over some stranger’s car. This is a standard feature that comes on ALL modern vehicles, from every make/model going back to 2004, and it’s badass.
