Scientists have discovered a breakthrough treatment that is effective at killing cancerous tumors. WOW! Where can people who are suffering from cancer get this miracle drug?!?! Well, depending on which state you live in, there’s a good chance that you probably can’t get this effective cancer treatment at all. That is because this wonder drug is marijuana.
Researchers have found that when weed is integrated with chemotherapy the combination killed cancer cells at a better rate than chemo alone. Dr. Wai Liu at the University of London, found that both THC and CBD boost the effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs. The combination means that the person needs less chemotherapy, which equates to less debilitating side effects such as frequent nausea.
“These extracts are highly concentrated and purified, said Dr. Wai Liu, “So smoking marijuana will not have a similar effect. But cannabinoids are a very exciting prospect in oncology, and studies such as ours serve to establish the best ways that they should be used to maximized as a therapeutic effect.”
