They say that ‘being a politician has its perks’, and that rang true this week when a Special Operations convention met in downtown Tampa and the Mayor (Bob Buckhorn) got to channel his inner John Rambo and fire off the biggest gun ever shot in downtown Tampa. This was part of a Special Ops convention that meets in downtown Tampa every two years, bringing our nation’s elite to the Sunshine State to discuss the latest and greatest in tactical weapons development. I’d be lying to you if I said I wasn’t mad jealous watching this, I’d love to feel the power of a weapon like that one day:

For you military bros reading this I’ll ask you to please excuse my ignorance, because I have absolutely no idea what type of gun this is that Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn got to fire off in front of The Sail Pavilion on the Riverwalk, so if any of you know feel free to drop some knowledge on me down below in the comments.
Also, since it’s 2016 and everyone in the world thinks their opinion matters there are a shit ton of angry people on Facebook claiming that this is an egregious use of the Mayor’s time, and some even go so far as to claim that the mayor firing that weapon is a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act. I’m sure these people haven’t given an ounce of thought to how much money this convention brings into the Tampa Bay area each time it convenes, with thousands upon thousands of special ops men and women spending money on travel, hotels, restaurants, and everything else under the sun. No, to the butthurt individuals this is just a gross misuse of Mayor Buckhorn’s time…Morons.
