A Pack Of Murderous Spider Crabs Dismantling A Squid Is The Most Metal Thing You’ll See Today

I used to think my GF in college (who I kinda/maybe/sorta cheated on) was the most unforgiving thing on the planet, but after watching this clip I’m convinced that Nature takes the cake. Nature is cruel and unforgiving. It’s a dog eat dog world out there, and this squid learned that lesson the hard way.

According to Elite Daily, these spider crabs typically migrate to Australia’s Port Phillip Bay during the early Summer months but some of the spiders got an early jump on the annual migration. When these spider crabs arrive at Port Phillip Bay they are ravenous from the long journey and will eat anything that moves. Unfortunately for the squid, the crabs had it outnumbered and they were prepared to risk it all for a meal because they’re on the brink of starvation.

This footage was filmed by a diver named Chiharu Shimowada who just so happened to be in the area of Port Phillip Bay when the crabs rolled into town and started killing squid. It’s definitely the most metal thing most people will witness this week.
