This Taco Bell In Chicago Will Be The First One Serving Alcohol In The U.S.

I don’t consider myself “classy” when it comes to drinking booze, but I think I’m at least above the level of “drinking by myself in the corner of a Taco Bell” classy. Maybe I sit right around “paper bag on the subway” level, but fast food boozin’? Sounds great, I’m all for it, but I can only imagine the sad souls who will wake up in the morning and say to themselves “You know what would really be great to do after work? Get drunk at a Taco Bell. Yes.”

And that’s exactly what Chicago residents will now be able to do since their Wicker Park location will be the first in the United States to sell alcohol, or what the Chicago Tribune is calling “boozy freezes.” If you’re one of the many underage kids reading this site, no, you can’t sneak buying one in the drive-through because they’re reserved for dine-in customers only, and yes, the drinks will be in designated cups so employees can make sure you’re not over-indulging.

Oh, and the Wicker Park location will also be getting a decor upgrade, because if you’re spending your happy hour getting drunk in a Taco Bell then you are clearly a stickler for interior design.
